The Society for Breast Imaging (SBI) will host a webinar on screening for breast cancer in women with disabilities on October 25.
The event is the first hosted by the society's Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (IDEA) group, and will address disabilities "that we can see and those we cannot, the challenges patients with disabilities face in receiving healthcare overall, why patients are hesitant to seek medical care in general and how we can help, and how to make breast centers friendly and welcoming for these patients," SBI said.
