RadNet has tapped basketball legend and WNBA superstar Sheryl Swoopes as spokesperson for its nationwide breast cancer screening programs.
Swoopes will emphasize the need for more convenient nationwide access to crucial cancer screening services, with a focus on RadNet’s MammogramNow initiative, which recently launched breast cancer screening services in Walmart Supercenters in Delaware, Arizona, and California, the company said.
Swoopes is an iconic figure in women's basketball, earning three Olympic gold medals and three Most Valuable Player awards in the WNBA during her career. She has a personal connection to cancer and specifically breast cancer, having lost both of her aunts to the disease, RadNet noted.
