Computerized image analysis developer VirtualScopics and contract research organization Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD) have expanded their alliance in clinical and medical imaging services, the two firms announced.
The collaboration will now include multiple therapeutic areas such as oncology, the central nervous system, cardiovascular, general medicine, and medical devices.
The alliance between PPD and VirtualScopics was established in October 2010 and initially focused on oncology drug development, the two firms said.
