This Dutch developer of advanced visualization software will highlight new clinical applications based on its 3viseon software, which enables large MRI and CT datasets to be reconstructed and viewed as 3D images on standard PCs.
3Mensio will demonstrate three new clinical applications. The first, 3viseon vascular, is a vascular clinical application for diagnostic and interventional radiologists that's designed to support new techniques such as endovascular repairs. The application is intended to help radiologists communicate with surgeons, the Bilthoven company said.
The second two applications are part of 3Mensio's effort to integrate computer-aided detection (CAD) software into its 3D applications. 3Mensio has inked a corporate alliance with CAD developer Medicsight of the U.K., and in its RSNA booth will demonstrate that company's software, branded as 3viseon lungCAD and 3viseon colonCAD.
All three software applications will be provided as extensions to 3viseon workstations, and will be shown as works-in-progress, as U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance has not yet been secured.
