This developer of specialized 3D visualization software for virtual colonoscopy studies will highlight recent corporate relationships that integrate its application with computer-aided detection (CAD) tools.
Viatronix of Stony Brook, IL, signed a relationship with Medicsight of London, U.K., in 2005 that enabled the firms to integrate Medicsight's ColonCAD algorithms into Viatronix's V3D workstation. Viatronix has completed the integration effort and will demonstrate the combined software as a work-in-progress, according to the company.
In another relationship begun in 2005, Viatronix announced that it was partnering with Quantitative Imaging (QI) of San Bruno, CA, to integrate its PolypPoint colon CAD engine into V3D. That product will also be shown as a work-in-progress.
Viatronix plans to begin U.S. shipments of V3D workstations that support both CAD applications as soon as U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance is received. Both products have the CE Mark for sales and marketing in Europe.
