Advanced visualization firm Vital Images of Minnetonka, MN, has posted a drop in revenue and a higher net loss in its third quarter (end-September 30).
For the period, the firm reported Q3 revenue of $14.3 million, down 19% compared to $17.7 million for the same quarter in 2008. The company's third-quarter net loss was $750,000 compared to a net loss of $243,000 for Q3 last year.
Despite the higher third-quarter loss, the company remains optimistic, citing investments in R&D and what it believes to be improving market share for future growth following the recent launch of Vitrea Enterprise Suite software.
