Advanced visualization firm Vital Images of Minnetonka, MN, is launching a new version of its Vitrea Enterprise Suite software.
Version 1.3 of the software has new clinical capabilities, including adult and pediatric cardiac applications, and an enriched set of workflow tools. New applications include cardiac multichamber analysis with adult and pediatric options that automate atrial and ventricular chamber analysis and make use of low-dose CT scanning protocols.
Vital Images has also made clinical enhancements to the software suite's cardiac structural analysis tools, Vessel Probe and Vessel Walk, which support navigation through cardiovascular anatomy. New workflow features make it easier to review CT and MR scans, and a new edge-detection contouring tool, single-click volume segmentation, and improved report access streamline case review and enhance communication between clinicians, according to the company.
Vitrea Enterprise Suite 1.3 also enables Web-based access to the Visia CT lung computer-aided detection (CAD) software from MeVis Medical Solutions of Pewaukee, Milwaukee.
