Bartron nets FDA OK for software

Bartron Medical Imaging of Largo, MD, has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market its Med-Seg viewer.

Med-Seg is a software application designed to receive medical images and data from various imaging sources, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, radiography/fluoroscopy, and digital x-ray, as well as from secondary capture devices, such as scanners, imaging gateways, or other sources.

In addition to general PACS use, the software can be used to separate 2D images into digitally related sections or regions that can be individually labeled by users after colorization.
