PACS firm Sectra has sold its Visualization Table to Wide-Eyed Entertainment for use in a new National Geographic Channel series called "The Great American Manhunt."
The Visualization Table will allow medical examiners to analyze and manipulate 3D diagnostic images of the show's featured mystery person, according to Sectra.
"The Great American Manhunt" is a new eight-part, one-hour series that premiered on April 19 on the National Geographic Channel. On the show, a team of experts employ forensic science to unravel the mystery of identifying a person with an exceptional life and accomplishments that have left a unique imprint on his or her body, Sectra said.
The Sectra Visualization Table consists of a large, multitouch screen built into a table that provides real-size 3D views of patient anatomy rendered from CT or MR images, Sectra said.
