Prime to purchase Calumet Coach

Lithotripsy and surgical services provider Prime Medical Systems of Austin, TX, has reached an agreement in principle to acquire the assets of mobile technology firm Calumet Coach of Calumet, IL.

The acquisition, which will be made through Prime's Harvey, IL-based manufacturing subsidiary, AK Associates, is subject to the preparation of definitive documents and the completion of customary approvals. Terms were not disclosed.

In addition to its Calumet City, IL headquarters, Calumet Coach has an additional manufacturing operation in Sanford, FL, and operates internationally via a service and sales facility in Camberley, England, and sales offices in Bejing, China, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The firm, which has delivered over 1,500 units, had sales of $50 million in the 12-month period ending December 31, according to Prime.
