3-D software developer Vital Images has signed a nonbinding letter of intent to work collaboratively on image-guided surgery and surgical planning products and services with Medtronic Surgical Navigation Technologies. Under the letter of intent, Vital Images' advanced visualization technology will be integrated into Louisville, CO-based Medtronic SNT's image-guided surgery products.
The two firms will also collaborate on new surgical planning software and services. A final agreement should be finalized in the fourth quarter, according to Vital Images of Minneapolis.
