Cbyon of Palo Alto, CA, introduced a new line of spinal modules for its Cbyon Suite volumetric surgical navigation platform this week at the North American Spine Society meeting in Seattle.
The product's image-enhanced fluoroscopy module for spinal applications augments standard fluoroscopic images by tracking the position of surgical instruments in real time, according to the company.
Cbyon said that its products enable users to track surgeons' instruments in real time and overlay them on fluoroscopic images of the patient’s anatomy, so the surgeon no longer has to maintain constant direct visualization of the instrument tip by updating fluoroscopic images.
