Electromagnetic localization developer Calypso Medical Technologies of Seattle and multimodality vendor Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, have signed a collaborative agreement to develop products with the potential to deliver both adaptive and image-guided radiation therapy.
As a result of the alliance, Philips expects to provide enhancements to its treatment-planning systems with target localization data from the Calypso 4D Localization System, Calypso said. The agreement was announced at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in Atlanta this week.
