Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, has installed its Somatom Sensation Open 40-slice CT system at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
The system includes an optional high-capacity patient table, developed as part of the CT Clinical Innovation Center partnership between Mayo Clinic and Siemens. The table offers CT imaging capabilities for bariatric patients, Siemens said.
The scanner will be used for image-guided interventional procedures, as well as cancer and routine diagnostic CT imaging, according to the company.
