Image-guided therapy developer IMRIS has received Canadian clearance to market its Visius iCT system.
Developed for the neurosurgery and spine surgery markets, the intraoperative system provides image guidance during surgical procedures and features Siemens Healthcare's 64-slice Somatom Definition AS scanner. It can be moved in and out of the operating room during surgery via ceiling-mounted rails, and the system features software tools such as 3D volume rendering and dose reduction, IMRIS said.
