Surgical visualization technology developer Mazor Robotics said that it received a record 12 orders for its Renaissance surgical guidance systems in the fourth quarter of 2015.
For the period (end-December 31), Mazor installed eight systems in the U.S. and netted purchase orders for four additional systems from distribution partners, primarily in Asia. For 2015, Mazor had 25 Renaissance orders and one upgrade, a 25% increase compared with the 20 orders garnered in 2014.
Based on a preliminary unaudited analysis of financial results, Mazor expects to have record fourth-quarter revenue of approximately $8.8 million. The firm projects 2015 revenue will reach approximately $26 million, up from $21.2 million in 2014. Full 2015 financial results will be released in late February.
