Johns Hopkins University spin-off Clear Guide Medical has raised $3 million in funding from investment firms.
The company reported that it closed a series A round of financing worth $1.5 million, with the potential for follow-on investments of another $1.5 million. The funding round was led by Wildermuth Advisory.
Clear Guide said it will use the funds to accelerate sales of its Clear Guide Scenergy CT-ultrasound fusion and instrument guidance system to hospitals and radiology groups in the U.S. and Europe. The system is sold as an accessory to most ultrasound scanners and is in use at several hospitals.
Scenergy has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in addition to the CE Mark.
