ViewRay receives Japanese regulatory approval

Image-guided radiotherapy developer ViewRay has received approval from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare to market its MRIdian system.

MRIdian is a clinical MRI-guided radiation therapy system that integrates full-time MR imaging, cobalt radiation delivery, and software automation. Using the MRIdian system, clinicians can see soft tissue and visualize and adjust the dose in real-time.

ViewRay is represented in Japan by Itochu, one of the three largest general trading companies in the country.
