Strong sales of its surgical guidance systems helped propel Mazor Robotics to a 52% increase in revenue in its third quarter.
For the period (end-September 30), Mazor had revenues of $7.6 million, up from $5 million a year ago. The company had a net loss of $5.2 million, compared with a net loss of $5.2 million in the third quarter of 2015.
In quarterly highlights, Mazor said it sold a record 25 systems during the period, including 15 orders from partner Medtronic and three additional prelaunch orders for its Mazor X system. Mazor also received four U.S. orders for its Renaissance systems and three international Renaissance orders through its distribution partners in Germany, Australia, and Thailand, according to the company.
