Philips Healthcare has introduced the next generation of its Azurion image-guided therapy platform.
The new version of Azurion integrates imaging, physiology, hemodynamic, and informatics applications, according to the vendor. It also enables control of the gantry at the tableside, enabling clinicians to control all compatible applications from a touchscreen while performing procedures, Philips said.
In addition, Philips has incorporated SmartCT, a 3D imaging application that's designed to acquire CT-like 3D images and support neurology, oncology, and cardiovascular procedures. Users are guided through the image acquisition process and can utilize 3D visualization and measurement tools to review and interact with the images on the tableside touchscreen module, according to the firm.
Azurion also includes IntraSight, a suite of instant wave-free ratio (iFR), fractional flow reserve (FFR), intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and co-registration modalities. Other new Azurion features include fully automatic position control, cybersecurity features, high-definition image display capabilities, and remote and proactive services, Philips said.
The platform is now available in three versions: Azurion 3, 5, and 7.
