MRI computer-aided detection developer CAD Sciences and Hitachi Medical Systems America have collaborated on an MR image acquisition protocol that establishes the compatibility between CAD Sciences' fTP pharmacokinetic analysis algorithm and Hitachi's Altaire high-field open MRI system, according to the companies.
The combination of technology from CAD Sciences of White Plains, NY, and Twinsburg, OH-based Hitachi is designed to offer comprehensive breast MRI and an image postprocessing tool that streamlines diagnosis and workflow, the companies said.
CAD Sciences' fTP algorithm calculates vascular permeability and extracellular volume fraction to help detect cancer.
