GE Healthcare has introduced its Vivid 7 Dimension '06 software upgrade.
The new release includes real-time 4D color-flow full-volume imaging, which allows clinicians to assess hemodynamic information in color and real-time in the same heart cycle, according to the Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor. 4D LV Volume, an EchoPAC Dimension option, quantifies volume information from real-time full-volume Vivid 7 data, GE said.
GE has also incorporated Advance Tissue Synchronization Imaging (TSI) for quantification of left ventricle synchronicity for heart failure patients or for those undergoing cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). Also new: Automated Function Imaging (AFI), which allows for assessment and quantification of left ventricle wall motion, according to the vendor.
