Swiss imaging software developer Medimaps Group has launched its advanced TBS Osteo software in the U.S.
The announcement follows U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance earlier this year for the next-generation trabecular bone score (TBS) software.
Designed to enhance fracture risk detection in patients with osteoporosis, TBS Osteo evaluates bone microarchitecture, according to the firm. The advanced software introduces new system management capabilities, allowing hospitals and healthcare networks to centrally manage the TBS software on their dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) systems fleet and to standardize workflows across multiple locations, the firm said.
