Advanced visualization firm Vital Images reported record revenue of $16.9 million in the company's second quarter (end-June 30), up 42% over $11.9 million in the second quarter of 2005. Net income was $1.2 million, compared with $734,000 in the same quarter a year ago.
Most of the Minneapolis-based company's second-quarter revenue came from license fees for all products -- $11.4 million in the quarter, a gain of 43% over $8 million in the second quarter of 2005.
