Merge files reports, requests Nasdaq extension

Radiology IT and advanced visualization firm Merge Healthcare said it has filed its annual report on Form 10-K for 2005 and its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. The Milwaukee-based firm is seeking confirmation that the filing of these reports will be satisfactory to Nasdaq.

Merge has not yet filed its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, and has requested an additional extension to regain compliance with listing requirements until September 8. The company said it expects to file Form 10-Q no later than this date.
