Surgical visualization software developer Mazor Surgical Technologies will be displaying its new advanced visualization software, DiscAssist, at the North American Spine Society meeting in Seattle next week.
The application provides surgeons with a 3D surgical blueprint that includes artificial disk sizing and precise disk placement, inclusive of alignment and orientation, the firm said. The program also calculates the center of disk rotation and simulates the effects of artificial disk placement on adjacent vertebrae. During the operation procedures, it interfaces with operating room imaging systems, according to the Caesarea, Israel-based Mazor.
