Advanced visualization firm Vital Images of Minneapolis has named Erkan Akyuz executive vice president of engineering.
Akyuz most recently served as chief technology officer at Agfa HealthCare of Greenville, SC, for several years, where he led the company's imaging informatics and radiology IT business units. He also held the position of vice president of R&D, director of technology and architecture, and director of process, methodologies and tools at Agfa.
Vikram Simha will continue as Vital Images' chief technology officer to direct the company's enterprise platform and expand customer relationships.
