NordicNeuroLab releases nordicBrainEx

NordicNeuroLab of Bergen, Norway, has announced the release of a new software package to be used for postprocessing, analysis, and visualization of several types of MRI techniques.

Called nordicBrainEx, the new software works with blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD), diffusion, and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) data in functional MRI studies. It's designed to expand and streamline functions used in hospitals and imaging centers by providing users with automated advanced features and protocols to increase productivity, while minimizing probability of error or qualitative variability in results, according to the company.

Market clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was received in August 2009.
