An increase in maintenance and service revenues powered the financial results for medical imaging software developer MeVis Medical Solutions of Bremen, Germany, in the first quarter of 2010 (end-March 31).
Revenues increased 7% to 3.7 million euros ($4.6 million U.S.), compared with 3.4 million euros ($4.3 million U.S.) in the first quarter of 2009.
Digital mammography contributed the most revenue in the first quarter of 2010 with 2.7 million euros ($3.3 million U.S.), up 18% from 2.2 million euros ($2.8 million U.S.) in the same quarter of 2009.
MeVis also posted a net loss of 150,000 euros ($186,000 U.S.), compared with net income of 133,000 euros ($164,000 U.S.) in the same quarter of 2009.
