Cardiac MR software developer Myocardial Solutions said that the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued new reimbursement codes for its MyoStrain and MyoStress strain-encoded MRI testing technology.
The two new Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes were issued for the use of MyoStrain and MyoStress in standardizing cardiac patient management and helping to prevent adverse events for cardiac and cancer patients at risk of heart failure, the company said. The codes will take effect on July 1.
