Avatar Medical and Barco are launching Eonis Vision, a glasses-free 3D display that converts CT and MRI scans into 3D anatomical avatars.
This collaboration aims to create an immersive 3D exam room for clinical environments. Launched directly from a patient’s medical record, Eonis Vision retrieves imaging studies at once and transforms them into interactive 3D anatomy without altering existing clinical routines. It also connects to PACS to improve clinical efficiency.
The companies highlighted that this display can help with patient engagement and shared decision-making.
Eonis Vision is a bundled software that combines Avatar Medical Vision software with Barco’s medical-grade Eonis 3D display. While Avatar Medical Vision has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the new version, which allows for compatibility with the Eonis 3D display, will be commercially available post-FDA clearance. Barco’s Eonis 3D display is expected to be commercially available by the end of November 2025, the companies said.
