NightForce Radiology of Spring, TX, will showcase its new HIPAA- and JCAHO-compliant RadRequest system at RSNA 2006.
The password-protected Web site allows users to initiate new radiology requests, view preliminary and existing radiology reports, add technician comments, and manage distribution of information, as well as other capabilities. NightForce Radiology is targeting RadRequest for radiology group practices and rural or independent hospitals.
The system also is designed to facilitate NightForce Radiology's guaranteed 30-minute turnaround on preliminary reports. RadRequest's security standards include SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption for patient data.
NightForce's after-hours teleradiology services provide 24/7 radiological analysis and reporting. The company is owned and operated by American Board of Radiology-certified specialists who read the images. Readers have an average of eight years of after-hours teleradiology experience.
Reports can be read by authorized users from any computer with Internet access or automatically faxed to the requesting clinician. Technicians can add comments and/or a brief history to online reports, which also can be simultaneously transmitted to multiple locations, such as a second hospital, radiology clinic, or physician's home or office.
