French computer-aided detection (CAD) developer Median Technologies has raised 10 million euros ($11.9 million) through a fundraising round issued to a group of investment firms.
Median of Sophia Antipolis said the financing will enable the company to accelerate its recruitment of sales, R&D, product management, and services personnel. It will also help the company further expand in Europe, Asia, and the U.S., and will help fund the rollout of a new portfolio of applications.
The company's two initial products are CAD-Lung, a software application for chest CT analysis, and CAD-Colon, designed to provide CAD analysis of virtual colonoscopy images.
