iCAD clears patent arbitration

Computer-aided detection (CAD) technology developer iCAD said a panel of arbitrators has ruled that it did not infringe on any patent as asserted by CAD vendor R2 Technology of Sunnyvale, CA.

The case, brought by R2, alleged that the Nashua, NH-based iCAD had infringed on two of its patents. In response to the arbitration commenced by R2, iCAD asserted in a counterclaim that R2 infringed several iCAD patents.

The three arbitrators also found that R2 did not infringe on the iCAD patents.
