Radiology informatics firm Guardian Technologies International has formed Applied Visual Sciences as a wholly owned subsidiary to help in the commercialization of Signature Mapping, its next-generation disease detection technology for the healthcare industry.
Signature Mapping is an analysis and visualization technology designed to read images from any medical imaging device, such as MRI and CT scans and x-rays, to detect disease states in the brain, lungs, heart, and prostate, according to the Herndon, VA-based company. It also is intended to visualize breast cancer in dense breast tissue.
