Breast imaging software developer Volpara Solutions has hired Mark Koeniguer as the company's new chief commercial officer.
Koeniguer most recently served as chief commercial officer at UL Workplace Health and Safety, an e-learning and electronic medical record software company. Prior to that position, he was CEO of Cardioptimus, an early-stage start-up that was developing a stroke prevention device for use during transcatheter aortic valve procedures.
He also previously led marketing and sales strategy for computer-aided detection firm R2 Technologies before the company was acquired by women's imaging vendor Hologic.
Koeniguer's career started at GE Healthcare, where he served in marketing and sales, operations, and finance during his time at the company.
