Image enhancement software developer ContextVision has been awarded a U.S. patent for a method to automatically optimize image quality using artificial intelligence (AI).
The deep-learning technology is capable of improving image quality throughout the image process, according to ContextVision. The broad patent applies to a long list of imaging modalities, including x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, and CT, as well as images in multiple dimensions and time sequences.
