Nuance Communications has signed a multiyear agreement with Partners HealthCare of Boston to develop artificial intelligence (AI) for point-of-care radiology.
The collaboration will be carried out through the recently established Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital Center for Clinical Data Science, and it will focus on improving radiologists' efficiency and report quality, as well as patient clinical outcomes.
New algorithms will be available through Nuance's AI Marketplace for Diagnostic Imaging, which is supported by graphics processing unit technology developer NVIDIA and the American College of Radiology (ACR), according to the firm.
