Medical image quantification software company Quantib and the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht) in the Netherlands are forming a joint venture company focused on deep learning in imaging.
The joint venture will take advantage of the extensive expertise and imaging data available at UMC Utrecht, drawing both from researchers at the university's Image Sciences Institute and clinicians from the department of radiology.
Quantib sees the deal as helpful for its goal of moving fast from the development of artificial intelligence algorithms through to regulatory approval.
