Netherlands-based artificial intelligence (AI) firm Aidence has received $11.3 million in a series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $14.2 million.
The funding round was led by INKEF Capital, along with co-investor Rabo Ventures, Northzone, HenQ, and Health Innovations.
Aidence applies AI to the analysis of chest CT scans, with a focus on lung cancer detection. The medical imaging start-up has installed its technology at more than 10 hospitals throughout Europe and aims to receive approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the company noted.
