Bold Brain Ventures has partnered with Google Cloud for Startups, allowing the healthcare artificial intelligence (AI) investment fund to provide its affiliated companies with technical tools and other resources as they create machine-learning solutions.
Bold Brain Ventures aims to bring together radiologists, innovators, and capital in a collaborative approach to AI. The company expects the partnership to be highly beneficial to radiology AI startups and investors.
Participating startups can take advantage of the Google Spark Package, which provides the companies with $20,000 in Google Cloud services and Firebase credits, according to Bold Brain Ventures.
Other benefits available to participants include networking and development support from Google Cloud teams, invitations to exclusive Google Cloud events, credits toward AI development and cloud database services, and discounts.
Also, startups may apply for the Google Surge program, which extends credits to up to $100,000 in the second year as their businesses grow, according to Bold Brain Ventures.
In other news, Bold Brain Ventures is targeting a fund size of $25 million with a first close of $1 million and a maximum size of $100 million, according to the company. Accredited investors from around the world can invest in the offering, which currently is accepting investors for up to 99 limited partnership spots.
Finally, the partners will exhibit at the AI Showcase at RSNA 2019.
