U.K. artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Behold.ai has inked a partnership agreement with Apollo Radiology International of Hyderabad, India, to develop a pilot program using Behold.ai's chest x-ray software to quickly triage patients with COVID-19.
Behold.ai will supply its red dot algorithm to Apollo's network of 71 hospitals. Red dot diagnoses chest x-rays as normal or abnormal within 30 seconds, according to the firm; the company has received CE Mark Class IIa certification for it for use in the U.K. and Europe, as well as clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
