Subtle Medical has raised $12.2 million in series A funding to pursue geographic expansion of the firm's artificial intelligence (AI) software for medical imaging enhancement.
The funding round was led by 3E Bioventures Capital with participation from Fusion Fund, Data Collective, Delta Capital, Tsingyuan Ventures, and other seed investors. This funding round also included participation by European investors Crista Galli Ventures from the U.K. and Nina Capital from Spain.
Subtle Medical notes its SubtleMR and SubtlePET software are already in use in more than 50 sites around the world.
The new funding will also bolster Subtle's product development, including SubtleGAD, an algorithm for lowering gadolinium dose in contrast-enhanced MRI, the firm said.
