ConcertAI issued its first research award grants as part of its Engaging Research to Achieve Cancer Care Equality (ERACE) program, which aims to further research into racial and ethnic disparities in cancer care.

The awardees include Dr. Samuel Washington III of the University of California, San Francisco and Dr. Sarah Markt of Case Western Reserve University, both oncology researchers. Both will receive $50,000 for their respective research efforts.

Washington's studies will look at drivers of racial disparities in managing advanced prostate cancer, using real-world data from ConcertAI that is linked to state-level measures of socioeconomic factors and healthcare resources.

Markt's research will use ConcertAI's patient registry to determine factors that affect the racial and gender disparities present in bladder cancer diagnosis and treatment.
