Imaging services provider US Radiology Specialists has now deployed Scanslated's patient-centered radiology reporting service at more than 110 outpatient centers nationwide.
Scanslated’s software provides plain language explanations and diagrams to help patients understand complex medical terminology. Since first implementing the technology, the company has received feedback from over 150,000 patients who accessed more than 4 million patient-friendly radiology definitions. Ninety-five percent of those surveyed reported that the reports helped them more easily understand their imaging results, US Radiology said.
