Kailo Medical acquires REI AI

Kailo Medical has acquired REI AI, which the former said will expand its capabilities to include generative reporting for clinical radiology workloads.

REI AI was created in response to rising imaging volumes, outdated reporting systems, and the growing need for smarter, more responsive tools, according to Kailo. Some features of REI's technology include natural dictation, real-time error detection, clinician-led design, and automatically generated impressions, among others.

REI AI founder Reuben Schmidt, MD, will join Kailo as director of clinical AI. Kailo said its acquisition of REI AI reinforces its global strategy and deepens its impact across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the U.S., and South Africa.
