Healthcare information systems vendor Cerner reported first-quarter revenues of $87.1 million, up slightly from the $86.7 million posted in the first quarter of 1999. For the period (end-April 1), Cerner had net income of $2.4 million, compared to net income of $2.8 million during the same period last year.
The Kansas City, MO-based firm also reported new business bookings of $95 million in revenues and $80.1 million in margin, the second-highest bookings quarter in the company's history, and a record first-quarter performance.
