Riptide to use Intel’s authentication services

PACS/RIS software developer Riptide Technologies has announced an agreement with Intel’s Internet Authentication Services unit to deploy its real-time physician identity authentication services.

New Orleans-based Riptide will integrate the authentication services into its Advanced Radiology Image and Information System (ARIIS), currently a work-in-progress. The agreement is the first in the radiology market for Intel’s service, which utilizes Internet IDs issued to physicians by the American Medical Association, according to Riptide.
