Digital Voice, Philips integrate voice recognition software

Digital Voice of Joplin, MO, will incorporate SpeechMagic by Philips into its DVI VoicePower digital dictation system to create a new product, DVI SpeechPower.

Philips Speech Processing’s SpeechMagic 4.0 is a client-server-based voice recognition software development kit that can be implemented over a local area network (LAN) or the Internet. The Atlanta-based company’s EasyEdit technology, which features synchronous playback, is also being incorporated into SpeechPower.

SpeechPower is based on current work habits and workflow and uses input devices such as a telephone, microphone-equipped PC, or a portable digital voice recorder.
