Cardiac imaging vendor Camtronics Medical Systems has completed the acquisition of ADAC's Cardiology Systems Group, which previously was part of ADAC Laboratories' Health Care Information Systems Group in Houston.
Camtronics, based in Hartland, WI, plans to integrate ADAC's CorCAAT system into its Vericis integrated cardiovascular repository. CorCAAT is a hemodynamic and database management system for catheterization labs.
The acquisition will enable Vericis to provide complete integration within the catheterization lab across monitoring and imaging modalities, according to Thomas Kennedy, vice president of business development at Camtronics. CorCAAT will be demonstrated at the Camtronics exhibit of the American Heart Association meeting in New Orleans this week.
Camtronics president Gene Bergholz said the acquisition of CorCAAT technology is an important step in implementing the integrated digital cardiovascular medical record. The firm is committed to supporting existing CorCAAT hemodynamic monitoring customers as it upgrades the system's features, he said.
